Overview
The Professional Evaluation and Certification Board (PECB)(www.pecb.com) is a personnel certification body for various standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO/IEC 20000, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27005, ISO 22301, ISO 26000, ISO 22000, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 28000.
PECB offers implementer certifications that target professionals who want to implement management system standard rather than audit it. For example, PECB ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer certification will provide more details on implementing the standard, managing implementation project, interpreting security controls rather than audit technique. Achieving this certification will ascertain that the individual will have adequate knowledge for implementing, operating and improving Information Security Management System (ISMS).
The International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA)(www.irca.org) is a division of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) – the UK’s professional body for quality management professionals. IRCA offers wide range of auditor certifications, which include:

- Environmental
- Quality
- Information security
- Etc.
IRCA has a good reputation for certifying management system auditors. The most famous certification in Thailand is ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor certification, which provides details about audit technique and interpreting Non-conformity (NC). Achieving this certification will ascertain that the individual can be engaged by certification bodies to perform information management system audits under their direction or conducting internal audit for their own management system.
