About this course

This three day intensive course enables the participants to develop the necessary expertise to support an organization in implementing corporate governance of Information Technology as specified in ISO/IEC 38500. Participants will also gain a thorough understanding of best practices used to implement guidance for Corporate Governance of IT from all areas of ISO 38500. ISO/ IEC 38500 applies to the governance of management processes (and decisions) relating to the information and communication services used by an organization. These processes could be controlled by IT specialists within the organization or external service providers, or by business units within the organization.

Examination

The “PECB Certified ISO/IEC 38500 Corporate Governance of IT Manager” exam fully meets the requirements of the PECB Examination and Certification Program (ECP). The exam covers the following competency domains:

Domain 1: Fundamental concepts, approaches, methods and techniques of Information Technology governance management
Main Objective: To ensure that the ISO/IEC 38500 IT Governance Manager candidate can understand, interpret and illustrate the main Information Technology guidelines and concepts related to Information Technology frameworks based on ISO/IEC 38500

Domain 2: Implementation of an Information Technology governance management program
Main Objective: To ensure that the ISO/IEC 38500 IT Governance Manager candidate can implement the processes of Information Technology reference frameworks based on ISO/IEC 38500

Domain 3: Information Technology governance assessment based on ISO/IEC 38500
Main Objective: To ensure that the ISO/IEC 38500 IT Governance Manager candidate can perform IT governance in the context of an ISO/IEC 38500
